A World Without Journalism

It became so customary for most people to sit down on the living room sipping coffee while reading the newspaper. Some listens to the radio while driving. Others find it more fulfilling to stop what they are doing for a while and watch TV. Simply put, people from all walks of life rely on media for a lot of different reasons. It seems like, people can’t live a day without themselves bringing up to date.
We depend on mass media to become updated of what’s going on with our surroundings. We tune in to different media tools for us to know the current and latest events, the weather forecast, the fresh and the hottest controversy of our favorite actors and actresses, what’s in and out of the trend and a lot more of information we could learn and gain knowledge of. Media really helps to refresh and update our minds in countable ways!
What would this world be if mass media in every society shuts down? What would life be if there were no more media announcements and no media tool is used to spread information and knowledge? In my own perspective, if my thoughts become possible, good heavens! Let us fear for it would be like the doom of this earth. Exaggeration aside, no man desired to stop learning. As a human being that wants to always be well-versed and informed, we will and always will find ways, no matter how small or big it will be, to learn, to learn and to learn. We strive for knowledge. We look for it, and when we find it, we grab it with both hands. No doubt that most of the very good sources of information gathering is through the use of mass media tools (Broadcasting, news reporting, blogging, use of the internet, Journalism, etc.) I am confident to say that people cannot live without mass media. As people needs breath for life, we need media for informative knowledge. We need mass media, we live with mass media.
